John Gowdy is a world-class artist specializing in professional sand sculpture displays of all kinds. He has teamed up with his talented wife, Laura Cimador, to form a unique sand sculpture company known as, Sand Sculptures by John Gowdy & Co. (SSJG).
John has been sculpting sand internationally for more than 30 years.

After the amazing sand sculpture is complete, we will host demonstrations at Sesame Island to show you how the magic is made!

Elmo’s Birthday Balloon Scavenger Hunt
Go on a scavenger hunt to find all 5 balloons and their matching letters that appear throughout the park! Once you have found all the balloons and completed the activity sheet, visit Mr. Hooper's Gift Shop to receive a special prize!

Golden Gifts Scavenger Hunt
Can you spot the Golden Gift? Each day from Friday, July 25 through Sunday, August 3, a total of FIVE Golden Gifts will be hidden around the park. Once you find a Golden Gift, return it to the Welcome Center to receive a special prize pack!
One winner per family, one prize per family. Families can only receive a prize once throughout the full duration of the Scavenger Hunt (July 25 – August 3).
