Celebrate the Official Grand Opening and ceremonial ribbon cutting of Oscar’s Wacky Taxi™ - the first wooden-steel hybrid roller coaster at Sesame Place®! Guests will be treated to a fun Charity Anchor Game Show Challenge to kick-off the morning with four of 6ABC’s most popular anchors – Ducis Rodgers, Adam Joseph, Nydia Han, and Alicia Vitarelli! Cheer them on as they compete in an Oscar-themed game to win a donation to the charity of their choice!
The exciting morning continues with a welcome from park president, Cathy Valeriano featuring a grouchy guest all the way from Sesame Street®! It also happens to be Oscar’s birthday, so what better way to celebrate than with a cake made for a grouch, delivered by Buddy Valastro, the Cake Boss!
No Grand Opening would be complete without a ceremonial ribbon cutting – this one, however, is going to be extra special. The amazing Caroll Spinney, who portrays Oscar and Big Bird on the award-winning television children’s series, will be on hand to cut the ribbon. Oscar’s Wacky Taxi™ will then be officially declared open!
