2020 Teacher Pass

2020 Teacher Passes are now available for all teachers of grades K-12 in PA, NY, NJ and DE. The Teacher Pass allows you unlimited park admission, 8/2/19 through 1/3/21. To be eligible for the free Teacher Pass you must have a valid teaching certificate and register online by 11/3/19. Once you register online, you will receive a voucher that must be redeemed at Guest Relations in the park by 1/1/20. If you had a Teacher Pass for the 2019 season, your pass will automatically renew, and all you need to do is visit the Guest Relations or Welcome Center upon your next visit to update the pass for the new 2020 season.

    If you held a Teacher Pass in 2019 your current Teacher Pass will automatically renew for 2020. It will now be valid through 1/3/21. Please visit Guest Relations, the Welcome Center or Rentals and Reservations on your next visit to have your Teacher Pass reprinted with the year 2020.

    2014, 2015, 2017 & 2018 Teacher Pass holders who did NOT have a Teacher Pass in 2019 must complete the registration process to apply for a 2020 Teacher Pass. Registration closed on 11/3/19.

Does the Free Teacher Pass include admission for my family?

The Teacher Pass grants free admission August 2, 2019 to January 2, 2021 for the teacher only. Additional family members require separate admission tickets or Season Passes.

Who is eligible for a Teacher Pass?

What do I need to present to redeem my Teacher Pass?

Visit Guest Relations by January 1, 2020, during normal park operating hours, with your Teacher Pass order confirmation voucher, photo ID and a copy of your teaching certificate matching the name on your ID and name on your Teacher Pass order confirmation voucher. Your voucher, teaching certificate and photo ID will be validated to ensure they meet the criteria by a park representative.

What if my Teaching Certificate has my maiden name and doesn’t match my current photo ID?

Your Teaching Certificate with your maiden will be accepted as long as you bring your voucher, teaching certificate and photo ID to Guest Relations by January 1, 2020.

What if I arrive to the park and forget my voucher, ID or original certificate. Can I still get the Teacher Pass and show credentials on my next visit?

No. You must present all required information on your visit to receive your free Teacher Pass. If you choose to enter the park, you will be required to purchase an admission product and no refunds will be issued once you receive your Teacher Pass.

I am currently obtaining my teaching certification, am I eligible to apply for the Teacher Pass?

The offer is available to certified K-12 teachers in PA/NJ/NY/DE. Teachers should review eligibility tab to see if they qualify prior to applying. To receive your Teacher Pass, you will need to present your order confirmation voucher, photo ID and a copy of teaching certificate matching the name on your ID and name on your Teacher Pass order confirmation voucher, by January 1, 2020.

What if I cannot visit within the redemption period, can I get an extension?

No. If you do not visit to redeem in park by January 1, 2020 during normal park operating hours, the offer will expire.

If I cannot find my teaching certificate, will you accept a pay stub, photo copy or letter from my employer?

No, you must present a copy of your teaching certificate to redeem this Free Teacher Pass. No exceptions will be made.

I already purchased a 2018 or 2019 Season Pass; can I get a refund or transfer my Season Pass to someone else and then sign up for the free Teacher Pass?

No. All Season Passes are non‐refundable and non‐transferable. This offer is not valid on past purchases.

I am a teacher, but I do not live in PA/NJ/NY/DE, can I still sign up for this Free Teacher Pass?

No. Only certified K-12 teachers in PA/NJ/NY/DE are eligible for this offer.

My credentials meet your PA qualification standards; however I am a NJ teacher. Why do I not qualify?

Certification type must match state of issuance for approval. Review eligibility tab for details by state. 

I live and teach in one of the eligible states but hold a teaching certification from a different state - do I qualify?

No, at this time the offer is for PA, NJ, NY and DE teaching certificate holders only who meet the guidelines as identified in our eligibilities.

I’m a pre‐school, day care, private or home-school teacher. Am I eligible for this offer?

If you are a pre‐school, day care or home-school teacher who has been certified by the states of PA/NJ/NY/DE and can present a valid/original K-12 teaching certificate meeting guidelines by state on the eligibility tab, with matching photo ID, you may register to receive the free Teacher Pass by November 3, 2019.

I work in a school, but am not a teacher, am I eligible for a Teacher Pass?

You must be a teacher and possess an active, valid state issued K‐12 teaching certificate meeting qualifications by state on the eligibility tab in order to be qualified.

Can I attend Season Pass Member events with my Teacher Pass?

Yes. Teacher Pass holders may attend Season Pass Members exclusive hours events.

My family has Season Passes and I have a Teacher Pass. Am I able to take advantage of their benefits such as Early Ride time, Reserved Parade Viewing and VIP character Meet and Greets?

No. Only those with Season Passes may take advantage of these exclusive Season Pass Member benefits.

May I upgrade my Teacher Pass to another Season Pass product?

Yes. Season Pass upgrades start at just $59.88! Visit Guest Relations or the Welcome Center to upgrade.
