Sesame Place Philadelphia is celebrating 45 years of fun rides & slides, exciting shows & parades, special events, furry friends, and one-of-a-kind memories. Explore the rich history of Sesame Place from concept to reality – from the early days of interactive science exhibits and discovery, to its expansion and transformation with the addition of exciting theme park attractions and splashy water fun. Sesame Place has seen immense change and growth over the past 45 years while continuing to bring fun, learning, and entertainment to children and adults alike. Enjoy a nostalgic walk through Sesame Place history and enjoy some photo ops along the way.

We’ve got Sesame Street-themed rides that the entire family can enjoy together! You can spin, soar, fly, climb and slide in Elmo’s World, Cookie’s Monster Land, the 123 Playground, Vapor Trail Coaster and Oscar’s Wacky Taxi Coaster!

There are so many fun water rides at Sesame Place to splish & splash in! We’ve got exciting body slides, a tube slide, a family raft slide, a lazy river, a family-friendly wave pool, and multiple splash pads. Kids of all ages will be splashing all day long!

Water attractions will be open daily 10am-6pm through September 1. On days the park closes at 5pm, the water attractions will close at 5pm.

We love to get birthday wishes for the park’s 45th Birthday Celebration! Drop your birthday wishes for Sesame Place in our 45th Birthday Mailbox located on the Sesame Street Neighborhood.

You can print out a 45th Birthday Celebration coloring sheet, color it in and drop it off when you visit the park.

Can you spot the Golden Gift? Each day from Friday, July 25 through Sunday, August 3, a total of FIVE Golden Gifts will be hidden around the park. Once you find a Golden Gift, return it to the Welcome Center to receive a special prize pack!

 

One winner per family, one prize per family. Families can only receive a prize once throughout the full duration of the Scavenger Hunt (July 25 – August 3).
