First Responders are our Hometown Heroes! On September 7-8, let’s celebrate and thank the people who help keep our communities safe everyday.

To celebrate, join us for an up close look at emergency vehicles, photos with everyone’s favorite Sesame Street friends dressed up in uniform, and more!

To thank our local community heroes, Sesame Place Philadelphia is offering one-day free admission tickets to first responders including law enforcement, firefighters, and emergency medical technicians now through October 27, 2024. Plus, get up to 6 tickets for just $50.99 each to share with friends and family!

Emergency Vehicle Display

Get an up-close look at a real-life firetruck, ambulance, police car, and more! Meet some of our local first responders and learn about the equipment they use when they are on the job!

Location: Sesame Plaza

Time: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Hooray for Heroes Storytime

Gather in Sesame Studio for a special storytime all about local heroes. Be sure to stay after the story for the chance to hug and take a photo with one of your friends from Sesame Street. Storytime capacity is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

First Responders Pre-Parade

Clap, sing, and wave along as local first responders in their emergency vehicles drive down the parade route in this special pre-parade presentation thanking all first responders.

Time: 2:45 PM

Meet & Greet with Sesame Street Friends

Get a furry hug and a photo with one of your favorite furry friends dressed up in their first responder uniforms!

Decorate, color, and create an adorable craft to create a personalized Mother’s Day gift for mom at Sesame Place during Mother's Day Weekend.

Appreciation Card Station

Show your appreciation for our Hometown Heroes by making a special thank you card for our communities’ first responders. You can even take your card up to our Vehicle Display and give it a first responder yourself!
