A One-of-a-Kind Family Christmas Event in San Diego, CA

A Very Furry Christmas at Sesame Place is a festive, family-friendly celebration with everyone’s favorite Sesame Street friends. The park is transformed into a Christmas wonderland with thousands of twinkling lights, whirling rides, and festive decorations all around. Sing and dance along at a special Christmas show and the Furry Friends Christmas Dance Party. Don’t miss the fantastic Sesame Street Christmas Cavalcade with festive floats decorated for the celebration and music that will have everyone getting merry and having lots of holiday fun.

Enjoy the 24-foot-tall Christmas tree, fun games, photos with Santa Claus, special food and beverages, shopping for unique holiday merchandise, and snapping one-of-a-kind photos with their Sesame Street friends, all dressed up in their holiday best!

A Very Furry Christmas is a festive, family-friendly event at Sesame Place San Diego. The park is transformed into a one-of-a-kind Christmas wonderland filled with holiday magic. When is A Very Furry Christmas?

A Very Furry Christmas starts on Saturday, November 9th and runs through Sunday, January 5th. The event takes place on Saturdays and Sundays plus select dates in November and December. Click here for the operating calendar.

Do I need to make reservations for this event?

No. You do not need reservations to enter. You need an admission ticket or season pass to enter the park, but you do not need to make any type of additional reservations for this event.

Is A Very Furry Christmas included with my 2025 pass?

Yes! Admission to A Very Furry Christmas is included with a 2024 and a 2025 Sesame Place Season passes.

Are there Christmas shows during the event?

Elmo's Christmas Wish Show will be playing in the Sesame Street Theater. No reservations are required, but we advise arriving at least 10 minutes before the show begins to find seating. You can also dance, sing, and jingle bell rock along to your favorite holiday tunes with Elmo and his favorite furry friends at the Furry Friends Christmas Dance Party which takes place on the Wave Pool lawn. Check the park schedule for show times.

Is there a Christmas parade?

This year, our Christmas parade has transformed in the Sesame Street Christmas Cavalcade! While you're visiting A Very Furry Christmas, don't miss out on the Sesame Street Christmas cavalcade featuring fantastic floats decorated for the celebration and show-stopping performance that focus on the magic of the holiday season.
