Your visit is covered through our Sunny Day Guarantee program. This program guarantees the value of your park admission and applies year-round, covering weather events such as rain, lightning, extreme heat, wind, snow, hail and more.
For example, If during your park visit:
- Inclement weather causes early closure or negatively impacts the park’s operating hours.
- Rides are closed for over 60 minutes due to lightning, strong winds, heat, rain or snow.
- If park temperatures reach a heat index of 110 degrees or above.
Stop by Guest Relations at the park or submit your information below to request your return visit! You’ll need your original admission ticket or order number.

- The following are not eligible for Sunny Day Guarantee tickets: Pass Member admission; complimentary tickets (including Weather-or-Not Assurance tickets); 14-Day Length of Stay tickets and packages; Discovery Cove ticket packages.

Children 35 months and younger are free. All guests 3 years and older must purchase admission tickets or season passes to visit Sesame Place. All admission ticket and season pass pricing is the same for children and adults.
All slides, rides, pools, shows & parades are included with park admission. Water attractions are seasonal and all attractions are weather permitting. Cabanas and Front-of-the-Line Passes are available at an additional cost based on availability. Advanced reservations for upgraded experiences are recommended to reserve your spot and can be made online. You can also purchase food, merchandise, and rent lockers at the park.
Yes! We offer discounted tickets for groups of 15+ to visit Sesame Place.
Military discount tickets to Sesame Place San Diego are available at special prices for authorized military patrons. Please visit your Information, Tickets & Travel (ITT) office on base for more information, and to purchase tickets.
No, tickets are non-refundable.
Sesame Place San Diego’s zero change fee policy allows a guest to change previously made admissions reservations to a different date by calling 619-943-ELMO between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. EST. Additional cost applies for dates with higher ticket prices. No refund or credit is given for changes from dates with higher prices to dates with lower prices. Tickets and Season Passes are nonrefundable, nontransferable, revocable, and may not be redeemed for cash. Other restrictions may apply.
You may download your e-tickets on your mobile device to present at the turnstiles for admission. If you do not have a smartphone, please visit the Ticket Windows at the front of the park with your confirmation number or purchasing information and our team will be happy to print your admission tickets.
