Sesame Place Cares

Sesame Place Cares is a collection of programs and initiatives in our park, in our communities and around the world that symbolize our commitment to conservation, education and community service.

Sesame Place gives back to the community in many ways. Sesame Place has acted as a collection area for donations to a number of organizations, including United Way and Cradles to Crayons. The park also has special relationships with a number of children's organizations in the area including American Red Cross, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Cradles to Crayons, St. Mary Medical Center Pediatric Emergency Unit, and Variety - The Children's Charity.

Sesame Place Cares is holding a coat drive from November 19, 2016 - December 31, 2016. Gently-loved winter coats are being collected for children ages 0-12 and can be dropped off at the Welcome Center during park operating hours.

The coats will be provided to Cradles to Crayons, a charity that provides children from birth to age 12, living in low- income and homeless situations, with the essential items they need to thrive - at home, at school and at play.

Season Pass Members will receive one complimentary ticket that can be used during a future visit to Sesame Place for their donation.  One ticket per family, per donation.  For example, if your family brings one coat to donate you will receive one ticket.  If your family brings 10 coats to donate, you will receive one ticket.

Sesame Place® Cares hosted the United Way of Bucks County's annual "Stuff the Bus" in August 2016.

Over 2,000 backpacks were stuffed with basic school supplies such as notebooks, pens, pencils, book covers, etc. The backpacks were distributed to the 16% of local Bucks County children who struggle to have their basic needs, such as school supplies, met.

The event kicked off with a ribbon cutting ceremony that included local officials, park president, Bob Caruso, and of course, Elmo and Cookie Monster.

The Sesame Place Team Member Memorial Garden is dedicated in remembrance of Sesame Place team members whose lives were taken too soon.

Sesame Place®, has partnered with Variety - the Children’s Charity for 29 consecutive years  to provide children with disabilities and their families the opportunity to experience an exclusive, complimentary day at the park filled with one-of–a-kind furry fun. The park makes special accommodations for children with autism, including designated quiet areas, low sensory shows and volume adjustments throughout the park to ensure every child has an unforgettable and enjoyable experience. The park also hosts a resource fair, where families can learn and connect with others at their leisure.
