What shows will be playing during A Very Furry Christmas?

Sesame Place will have 4 Christmas themed shows.

  • A Sesame Street Christmas Show: Growing up in Fairyside, Queens Abby is not familiar with the celebrations and traditions of the Christmas season. Her Sesame friends share with her their favorite things about the Holiday. After singing Christmas carols, learning about Santa, reindeer, jingle bells and gift giving; Abby discovers that the spirit of Christmas doesn't have to be on just one day, but it can be every day.
  • Elmo the Musical at Sesame Place! - Christmas: Rosita and Grover deliver a special (and mysterious!) Christmas message from Santa to Elmo, telling him to “…keep a lookout for a very special gift…it comes in all shapes and sizes and is the most wonderful gift of all.”  Right then, a very tired and over-worked Package Delivery Monster (Grover) begins delivering all of Elmo’s gifts, helping Elmo learn something that makesthis Christmas extra special!
  • Elmo's Christmas Wish Show: Elmo, Cookie, Grover, Zoe and Rosita sing and dance about their favorite holiday, and talk about what each of them wants for Christmas. Murray even joins the cast, asking audience members about the "Word on the Street", and getting confused when he hears that people have NOT been saying "Murray Christmas". In the spirit of fun (and in spite of all the confusion), Elmo ends up with the best Christmas wish of all.
  • 1-2-3 Christmas Tree Show: Enjoy a spectacular music and lightshow, featuring a 25 foot Christmas tree that lights up the night. Sing and dance along to Sesame Street Christmas music score. Family and friends gather together with cheerful Elves who will lead a sing along of favorite Sesame Street Christmas carols.

Will there be a parade and is it Christmas themed?

Yes! The Neighborhood Street Party Christmas Parade features ten fantastic floats decorated for the celebration and three show-stopping performances that focus on the magic of the holiday season. The whole family will experience an energetic neighborhood Christmas block party with all of their favorite friends, including Elmo, Count von Count, Bert, Ernie, Abby Cadabby, Zoe, Cookie Monster, Rosita, Big Bird and Telly. The parade features exciting new performances to holiday favorites including “Sleigh Ride”, “Jingle Bells” and Elmo’s special rap to “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”. The Neighborhood Street Party Christmas Parade finale will leave everyone with warm, fuzzy feelings and fill their hearts with the Sesame Place Christmas spirit.
