Ride and Attractions Accessibility
Ride Information for Guests with Disabilities
We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment to all our guests. At Sesame Place we have our Ride Accessibility Program which matches the individual abilities of our guests to the requirements of each ride.
Ride Accessibility Program (RAP): Is designed to allow guests to participate in the enjoyment of our park as much as possible. The program was developed based on the requirements of the manufacturer and by analyzing the physical and mental attributes required to safely ride each ride. Each attraction was evaluated for the criteria necessary for an individual to ride safely. It is our policy to allow anyone to ride who meets all these requirements and is not a hazard to himself or others.
The majority of rides and attractions at Sesame Place have special accessible entrances. Special accessible entrances may be used by our disabled guests and up to three other guests (except where noted). Guests with parties larger than four will need to have the remainder of their party wait in line.
On all rides, guests using wheelchairs will need to transfer themselves onto the ride. All Sesame Place employees are trained to provide assistance, which include steadying a guest transferring to or from a wheelchair. However, they are not trained, and not permitted, to lift guests in and out of wheelchairs.
Although not required, wristbands will be provided at the Welcome Center for all disabled guests who enroll in our RAP program. The wristbands allow for the disabled guest and their party to be noticeable to our employees, allowing for immediate assistance on and off of attractions. If you choose not to make use of the bracelet we ask that you identify yourself as a guest in need of assistance when approaching the exit of a ride.
Guests wishing to participant in our Ride Accessibility Program need to enroll at our Welcome Center located at the entrance to the park.

Special Needs Dining
We Care about Quality and We Care About You.
Guests with special dining needs will find cheerful assistance at any Sesame Place restaurant or snack location. All Sesame Place employees are trained to offer assistance in serving lines, and special seating is available.
Good nutrition and good health go hand in hand. So we follow the advice of nutritional experts in every step of our food preparation process. For example, we know the oil we cook in becomes part of the food you eat. That’s why our deep frying oil has ZERO grams of trans fat per serving, is low in saturated fat, and is a good source of monosaturated fat.
If you are concerned about food allergies, you should know that some food items at Sesame Place do contain peanuts, or are made using equipment which may contain peanut residues.
We encourage guests with special dining needs or questions about food allergies to speak with a restaurant manager or supervisor at Sesame Café, Elmo’s Eatery, Captain Ernie’s Bistro, or any other park restaurant prior to dining. Our culinary team will be happy to share recipes and manufacturer’s product labels listing all ingredients to guests with special dining needs. If you have questions prior to your Sesame Place visit, please feel free to contact us at 215-741-5386.
